Bio
Amy Hart is a soulful singer-songwriter whose voice carries a mix of grit, warmth, and honesty. Raised on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, she grew up in a home where music was constant. Her parents filled the house with singing, and her mother spent hours at the baby grand piano. Amy’s first performances began in early childhood, singing Ace of Base’s “The Sign” and the Jenny Craig jingle to her sleeping parents. School choirs and church music soon helped her realize how deeply music could ground her and make her feel understood.
Her vocal influences are wide-ranging. Amy was shaped by the power of Brad Delp, Whitney Houston, Stevie Nicks, and Amy Winehouse. Her mother’s passion for performance also left a lasting impression. In recent years, she has found inspiration in the bold style of Jon Batiste, the reflective writing of John Mayer, the experimental energy of Billie Eilish, the emotional depth of Tracy Chapman, and the charged delivery of Dave Grohl. She leans into the rawness in her own voice to bring forward the emotions often left unspoken.
After moving to Fort Myers, Florida to be closer to family, Amy continued building her music career. She had previously been nominated for Best Solo Acoustic Artist on Cape Cod in 2018. She has collaborated with talented musicians along the way, including a full-band show with blues icon James Montgomery. Her six years as lead vocalist in a high-energy funk band taught her how rhythm builds unity and gave her plenty of proof that singing suits her far better than dancing.
Amy sees music as a safe space. When life feels uncertain, songwriting and melody offer her a place to regroup and reconnect. Her goal is to help people process what they feel but may not know how to express. She often writes from that space, using her songs to speak directly to the listener’s unspoken experience. Outside of music, Amy loves to cook. She treats food as another way to express care and creativity, especially with people she’s close to.
Right now, she is writing new songs and preparing for upcoming shows. Every step in her process brings new lessons and a chance to connect with more listeners. She values each person who hears her music and hopes they walk away feeling understood and moved. For Amy, every lyric and every note is a chance to build something real with someone new.
